Allan Spargo graduated from Melbourne University having completed a bachelor of laws in 1974. He worked initially as a solicitor for Phillips Fox & Masel before commencing at the private bar in Melbourne in 1975. After a career break Allan moved to Brisbane in 1992 and commenced employment as a solicitor with Blake Dawson Waldron (later Ashurst Australia) and became a partner in 1995. He retired from the partnership in 2000 and subsequently worked for the firm as a full time consultant. Allan commenced as the founding Clerk for Hemmant’s List in May 2016.
The Clerk promotes the List and its members so as that solicitors and clients are aware of the service it can offer in matching barristers to clients’ needs for a particular brief.
