Andrew has developed a practice in intellectual property, technology, building and construction matters.
Doyle’s Guide identifies Andrew as one of only two pre-eminent intellectual property junior counsel in Queensland. Andrew is also retained by the Registrar of Trade Marks to represent IP Australia in trade mark appeals and other matters. Areas of practice include trade marks, copyright and patents. These disputes frequently also involve associated trade practice, consumer law, contract, equitable relief and tortious causes of action.
Andrew has long experience in dispute resolution in the area of information technology, whether involving intellectual property disputes, confidential information, domain names disputes, online reputation, privacy, data sharing or software development.
As a construction lawyer Andrew has focused upon domestic and commercial construction disputes involving construction technology, geotechnical disputes, contractual issues and payments disputes. He has appeared in the Courts as well as QCAT.
A further aspect of Andrew’s practice is insurance-related matters, particularly professional negligence for construction professionals as well as occupiers’ liability disputes involving construction issues.
