Jeremy Sweeney’s principal area of expertise is litigation and advisory work with a commercial focus, including:
- commercial risk insurance (aviation, public liability, products liability and contractors risk)
- building and construction
- contract disputes
- partnership, joint venture and private company law
- professional responsibility of engineers, architects and lawyers
He is an experienced trial and appellate counsel, in disputes concerning these areas, and has also appeared in domestic and international commercial arbitrations. He has acted as a mediator in numerous commercial disputes.
He has honours degree in law from the University of Queensland and has practised at the commercial bar in Brisbane since 1985. He is also admitted as a barrister of the High Court of New Zealand.
