Paul practised as a solicitor with Higher Rights of Audience in London and as an advocate in Jersey (Channel Islands) between 2001 and 2021. He then worked in commercial litigation as Special Counsel in Brisbane from 2022 to 2024 before being called to the Queensland Bar in mid-2024.
Paul has represented clients in significant matters across domestic and offshore jurisdictions, including cases involving trust disputes, directors’ duties, insolvency claims, and shareholder disputes. Notable examples of his work include acting in multi-million-pound fraud claims, high-value breach of trust cases, and corporate disputes involving wrongful or insolvent trading.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and accepts appointments as an arbitrator in commercial and contractual disputes. Paul is also an adjunct lecturer at the T.C. Beirne School of Law at the University of Queensland, where he teaches Succession and Advanced Trusts and Trustees.
