Rachel was called to the bar in 2020.
Rachel’s practice is broadly commercial, with experience in building and construction, property, personal injury, discrimination and workplace matters.
Rachel has also undertaken additional study in Mediation at the QUT Faculty of Law and the Resolution Institute.
Immediately prior to coming to the bar, Rachel practised as a generalist solicitor, with a focus on commercial law, with additional practice areas in family law, personal injury and workplace law.
Her background representing clients in a wide range of legal interactions allows her to apply a broader insight in advising clients in a broad range of legal areas.
Rachel also has an academic background in linguistics, having lived and studied in France for a number of years. Rachel is fluent in spoken and written French, having completed her PhD in cotutelle between the University of Queensland and Paris III (Sorbonne Nouvelle), achieving a “mention tres honorable avec felicitations” (the highest academic distinction in France) for her defence in front of a jury of 5 academic leaders in the field.
