Emma practices in personal injuries, insurance, estate litigation and administrative law. Emma has particular interest in psychological injury claims, dust diseases, medical negligence and constructive trusts.
Since commencing at the bar in 2021, Emma has run many civil trials unled in the District Court and Magistrates Court and led trials and contested applications in the Supreme Court.
Notable cases include Gairns v Pro Music Pty Ltd [2024] QDC 118 and Lewis v Martin [2024] QSC 81.
As a solicitor, Emma spent 8 years working in Government and Private Practice in defendant insurance litigation representing insurers in both personal injuries and property damage litigation. She then went on to establish the Financial Abuse Prevention team at a Queensland community legal service.
Emma is a proud single mum and mental health advocate and regularly speaks about her experience.
