Grant Thomas was called to the Bar in 2023 after a successful career as a solicitor practising in insurance and civil litigation.
He practises predominantly in medical negligence, as well as all manner of personal injury claims including workers’ compensation, CTP claims and public and property liability matters.
Grant regularly appears in courts and tribunals throughout Queensland on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants.
Before coming to the Bar, Grant worked as a solicitor with Australia’s largest medical indemnity insurer, managing significant medical negligence claims and disciplinary proceedings involving health practitioners.
Drawing on his experience from both private practice and the insurance sector, Grant brings a practical approach to dispute resolution and advocacy.
Grant maintains an active pro bono practice through the Caxton Legal Centre and Queensland Advocacy for Inclusion.
